    USBscale.zip Radio Shack Scale error

This program worked perfect with Vista 64 bit on a DeskTop Acer. I have also tried it on a ThinkPad X300 with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. It will not run. I have also tride to run it in compatibility mode for Vista and XP with no success. I produces a Run-Time error and says an attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Bill

OK...looks like more tinkering was necessary. I clicked on running in the Windows 98 mode and it now partially works. The scale reads the weight but does not activate the postal rates in the auto-launch mode.

At least I was able to find this fix by searching this forum and then solved it on my own. If there are any other suggestions I am welcome to read them.

    Thanks, Bill

    Thank you!!!

    Thanks for posting, Bill.

I have the same scale from Radio Shack and had the same problem trying to run on Win 7. I had tried some compatibility changes, but not Windows 98.

Now, it works like you said. At least the scale will initialize and give back the weight. I was afraid it would be useless because I doubt Radio Shack will be updating the driver/software for it.
