Standard account creates shortcuts in admin

    Hi guys,

I'm having this weird problem with accounts. My mother has an administrator account on her PC and I've created a standard user account for my nephew to play his games on. The thing is, every time I install a new game/program the icon not only shows up on his account but on the Admin desktop as well. I've got around this by dragging the shortcut from the admin desktop to the corresponding user desktop, but I don't want to be doing this all the time. What did I do wrong when I created the standard account and is there anything I can do to prevent any future shortcuts on the standard account showing up on the administrator desktop?

Unfortunately some installers just do not deal with multiple accounts well.

The only thing you can do is to always choose custom install on a program (which you should always do anyway to avoid bloatware) and if it has the option, to install for all users. Other then that, that is the way it is.
