I cannot see part of a program

I recently just restored my laptop from my desktop image; It all went well but I have this visual basic 6 program that I would like to use, but it doesn't display properly. The program works fine but I can't see part of it, specifically the bottom. Is there anything I can do about this?

On my desktop it only works on 1280x1024, that is not the recommended resolution that my desktop runs. On the recommended resolution on my desktop I cannot see the program.

Now the problem is that on my laptop, it doesn't have 1280x1024 resolution.

Is there any thing I can do about this or does the laptop have to have 1280x1024.

    Any help is appreciated!

VB 6 expected a 4x3 aspect ratio as that was common at the time. You should install it from the media if possible rather than using an image. During install it likely picks out the res it wants from the ones your video can handle. Installing from image it is using the old hw settings on the new hw.

Also I'm not sure how the licensing works. It may be an "only on one computer at a time" deal.

Unfortunately, I cannot install the program because it is not online. This program is the reason I restored from an image.

Is it possible to get it to work?

If not, if I find a another computer with a 1280x1024 resolution, would it work?

    Edit:

Even on the recommended resolution on the original computer wouldn't work, we had to change it to 1280x1024
