Help finding a program to record a bat file

    Hi All,

So at work every day we have to open a program load a file "update" the file (click menu bar then update all) this opens a secondary screen that then needs the information verified and then click update.

I know this is not much to go on. But my really question is. Does anyone know a program that will allow me to click record then open the program do what i need to do close the program then click stop recording and then convert that recording to a .bat file? sort of like what the record in VBA does?

Or does anyone know another way I could do this?? just trying to make lift easier for the guys at work.

Welcome to Seven Forums Nomad01. You need a "macro" of sorts. You can do what you want with Autohotkey . You'd need to write a script, or modify an existing script. You'd need to know the particulars of what functions you do now manually. Shouldn't be a problem as you do these functions

There is a macro recorder of sorts

Macro recorder - Scripts - AutoHotkey Community

They have a dedicated forum as well

AutoHotkey Community - share scripts and functions, get answers to your programming questions

Otherwise, you'd want to research Macro recorders. There are free ones, but the best are pay I believe. A Guy
