Everytime I open skype, my computer freezes.

I tried reading at skype community for this problem but no solution still. I'm hoping someone can help me here. My skype is on automatic update but after an update it freezes my laptop. (I dunno what update version is that). I tried finding solution and they say try to install the older version, I think I have 6.2. Then just now, I can't log in, it says my skype is outdated. Can't run the new and can't run the old. How sad.
Any solution guys, pls? I'm using skype for work, I really need it.
I'm running Win7 64b Home Premium. I think all Home Premium have this error.
    Thanks in advance!

Uninstall all Skype in Control Panel>Programs.

Then search for Skype listings in registry: Set System Restore Point - Create, Type regedit in Start Search box, rightclick to Run as Admin, on Edit tab type Skype into Find box, keep finding Next until you delete all Skype keys only.

Reboot PC, reinstall latest Skype as Admin.

If this fails, temporarily create a new User account to install Skype upon to see if it varies.

Go over your install thoroughly using the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
to establish a Clean Boot, check System Resources for Problems/Solutions, clear repeat errors from logs, check System File integrity, etc.

Did you uninstall it like I said in the last post?

Is there a System Restore point or System Image to go back to before you first installed Skype?

What were the results of the other tests which I specified to run above?
