    Cm106eye.exe security popup on boot

I tried to reinstall the drivers for my headset, due to a sound issue. After the installation, however, I started getting about five or more popups about Windows asking if it's okay to run Cm106eye.exe. Even after ticking the "Do not ask to run this program again" box, they still seem to pop up. I tried a system restore and an SFC scan, but to no avail.

Hello Kaasha, I am not sure I can help you but I can give you some suggestions. Hold down the Windows Key (the one with the flag on it) while the key is pressed tap R key. You will get a 'Run' window. In that Window type msconfig and press OK. click on the startup tab and see if you can find your headset listed. If you hold your mouse over any entry, it will tell you what it is or where it is. When you find it, uncheck the checkbox next to it. Also make sure there are not dual entries for the headset. Once that is done, click OK and you will get a message you need to reboot. Go ahead and reboot. See if that solves your problem.

What that does is cause your headset program to not run on startup of the computer. It should run whenever you connect your headset though. Also, you may want to stop a lot of other programs from running at startup. The more things you run at startup, the slower your startup will be. For the most part, you only need your Anti Virus to run at startup. Everything else will work fine when you need it to, it just won't be running when you don't need it and will not slow your computer down. See if that helps with your headset problem.

Thanks for your reply, essenbe; that seems to have done the trick. I'll just have to keep in mind to tick the box once again if I have to adjust something.

Yes, all the programs will still be there and will still work. It's just they will work when you need them instead of slowing down boot times and using computer resources when you don't need them. For example Adobe reader usually writes itself into start up. I take it out. But, when I click to open a PDF form, adobe opens up and reads it without me doing anything. You're very welcome for the assistance.

I've logged in windows 7 as administrator. The file is located in C:\Windows\system . It is the file "cm106eye.exe" . I've selected not to block it in its properties. It seems that it worked that way.... I'll report back.
