Synchronizing with an Internet time server over HTTP

I cannot synchronize the time of my machine because the IT department blocks the related ports (I don't know why). Is there a practical way to synchronize the time over http?

Have a look on this very same question on StackOverflow:
Public, reputable sources of time sync via HTTP to use where NTP is blocked? - Super User

No idea if the answers actually work or if are useful (not tried myself) but at least they'll give you a few more options.

It appears likely that your company is syncing time to an internal source. In a domain this is very important. If you are having issues with this contact your IT department.
