Hi all -
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I use Google desktop solely for the "Control + control" keyboard shortcut that opens up a google search window. In the past I've been able to disable all of the Google indexing functions and have it work fine.
However, on my Windows 7 install, I can't seem to get around the fact that anything I search for in the start menu search will open up in a browser in Google Desktop like results. I have disabled indexing on all tabs of Google Desktop options and unchecked the indexing of all content types.
Nevertheless, my search results open in a browser as opposed to in a Windows search result. The same thing happens with Win + F, which defaults to opening the Google search input pop up.
Any ideas on how I can overcome this? Is it possible to still use Google Desktop without using any of the search functionality?
Thanks.
