    Hi,
    Personally I would use system restore to an earlier time before the iTunes update,
    Then uninstall iTunes then re-install iTunes

    You very well could uninstall iTunes now then deal with the any leftovers from the uninstall
    iTunes is pestware
    If you ever see an update just uninstall and re-install it it's much more straight forward and less problematic,
    I do the same for flash player too :)
