Issues installing everything

This problem just started recently, I am not sure what changed aside from installing Visual Studio 2013, but I don't think thats related (Hope anyway)

So, nothing will install without elevation, but I never get the usual pop up for elevation, it just does a splash screen for a split second then goes away. I can successfully right click and run as admin, though it gets annoying. But the biggest problem is, I can't install any drivers, browser extensions, or anything that normally doesnt give the elevation prompt. And since most of these items do not have a physical icon (being installed via browser) I can't right click and elevate it.

Any ideas?

Malwarebytes doesn't search for rootkits by default, so that's another thing to try if you haven't.

But if something is wrong with Windows then this might be a good thing to try: Repair Install

enabled scan for rootkits and no dice either. I did however find the following in my sysconfig startup tab that I dont know about all from Unknown manufacturers:

CitrixReceiver
Communicator
OutfoxTv
P17RunE
Redirector

Any advice?

That is suspicious but not necessarily. I have an NVIDIA startup that show as Unknown but is legitimate. And a bunch I previously disabled manually and then uninstalled them with the result that they are still shown in the startup tab but now as Unknown.

I advice you to check out my tutorials in my signature below. Try the first one first, and then if you want you can try the second one to manually check the file for each one of these startup entries, by looking in the Command column in the startup tab.

With these tools you can check these files with more than 50 different anti-virus products. And verify if the files have valid digital signatures. In the first Tutorial I haven't mentioned how to verify signatures, but you enable that from the Options menu - Verify Image Signatures (in Process Explorer)
