    Winpatrol on Win 7 !!

I have been an avid user of winpatrol on winXP and I had found it to be extremely useful. I am now on win 7 and I find that UAC is performing functions similar to that of winpatrol. The UAC prompts you if any file on the hard drive is being changed. Is it ,therefore, necessary to install winpatrol on win 7 ??.
    2. I have also read a couple of comments by the users saying that winpatrol gets into some sort of conflict with UAC.
    3. I shall be grateful if I am able to get the opinion on this matter.

I have WinPatrol Plus. I use it on both my Win 7 and Win 8.1 systems. It has helped me many times with intrusive programs and configurations. My recommendation is to install it and keep it updated.

No. I don't understand that statement. UAC prompts you when a program starts that require administrator permission. With UAC enabled and you log on with an admin account, all admin permissions are disabled until UAC prompts you. That's the primary thing UAC does. Other things that are enabled when UAC is turned on is Internet Explorers protected modes. And it also enables file and registry virtualization, another protection feature.
When UAC prompts, always check the Verified Publisher information.

I don't know WinPatrol, but I know UAC
