General Windows 7 Professional Help, Programs & Features Ect.

I have recently purchased a 'Dell Latitude D610' I bought it off ebay as it was fairly cheap and has windows 7 professional installed into it. The first week I have had it, I encountered problems with freeware It has seemed to automatically downloaded, now I have adverts popping up every were and my browser settings being changed with no control over what happens. I was advised to uninstall programs and thought that would be a good idea myself but when I went to do this it shows around 5 programs in the program and features section of the control panel and way over half of my installed programs are not showing up, I have tried everything and have been advised to restore windows but I do not have a disk to do this, I hope someone can help me with this issue.

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums ... Is there a Product COA Key under your Laptop ... Maybe inside the Battery compartment ...

You could do a Clean Install of Windows .. The Link below contaions every thing you need for the perfect Insulation including the ISO ..

But with out a Product Key you will not be able to activate it ...

Hi, thank you, There is a product key under my laptop I have noted it down, all I am worried about is that the laptop was refurbished and I think windows 7 was installed on it as the sticker on the laptop says designed for windows XP so I am worried that it isn't the right product code ?

Because you got your computer off of eBay I suggest doing the tutorial by Brink first and post the results here. You need to know if you have a proper install with a proper COA.
If you have Windows 7 installed their should be a COA sticker somewhere on your computer with a Windows 7 COA.

He said yes it will, I know what your thinking I cant see how either, but I have already contacted ebay and they now have this buyer insurance that protects me, also these guys have sold over 3,000 laptops it's a proper company I contacted them by email and they contacted me straight away by phone. I will report back to let you know if this has worked.
