Connectify

Hi everyone. Just for the people that don't know, you can download the Connectify beta and turn any Windows 7 laptop into a wireless hot-spot.

I'm having trouble connecting my PSP to it. It says that the security is not supported. Is there anything I can do about it?

i have the same problems with my ps3
i think its caused due to the fact the the connection is based on an adhoc(and not a standard wifi)
which is not supported by the gaming consoles
if i got it wrong and u have a work around this issue i would love to hear it.

(there also a possibility of configuring the wireless adapter setting to certain values eg. 20mhz broadcast etc.)

Hello,

I just discovered this software, it's great! I'm currently searching for a solution because my laptop always disconnect from my router, and I wanted to try this.

Unfortunately, it says my wifi card (WUSB54G linksys) is not compatible. I have a couple of other ones that I will try (TRENDNET).

I believe the PSP only supports WPA/TKIP not /AES which is the only option for Connectify at the moment. The program is pretty nifty, I am having issues where my devices will be connected, but for some reason the internet appears to stop being served until I restart the app. I am using a RALINK usb adapter. Before upgrading to 7 I was using RALINK's software on XP to make an AP. I haven't had any luck with their software and 7.

Ive had connectify for a while now and it used to work fine. However after waiting a few weeks to download the 7 update I finally installed it ...then connectify stopped working. Any ideas why? All I get now is the "No compatible WiFi devices found" error.. Think Microsoft did it on purpose :O ...lol
