Installing a program on Windows7 issue.

    Hello everybody,

I have the following problem: my system runs on Windows 7 Professional and when I install a program using the default path c:\program files...etc it doesn't allow the program to create it's .log files. If I install it anywhere else the .log files are created without a problem.
If I turn off the UAC it creates the .log files in the default location. My question is: what should I do to get my .log files created without changing the UAC or the folders security options? Does anybody had this problem?

    Thanks.
    George.

Install it normally then when looking for the log files go to this location: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore This is where files are created if an application attempts to write to a location it does not have permission to right to.

Thanks for the input. Do you know something about the write protection inside the Program Files or how does it work. I'm having a hard time to figure it out.
