Winbuilder? Same as VirtualBox? Want to give it a shot but need help

Today thanks to someone who passed a link to a page about a program I discovered a cool website that hosts some tools of which alot are custom coded by some volunteers who share it on the site.

Of such there is a whole load of programs that fit under the winbuilder category.
WinBuilder - reboot.pro

I'm unfamiliar with this concept and have only used Oracle VM VirtualBox to host a virtual copy of Windows so far.

To try this out do I need to install WinBuilder - reboot.pro

and Win7PE - reboot.pro

Anyone got any exp with this? I don't want to screw up anything that can't be fixed.

Also what are the ups and downs of using this compared to just using Oracle VM VirtualBox?

I suppose this winbuilder is alot faster to use?

Never heard of any of those, but looking at the website, there is no indication of any relation with VirtualBox.
VirtualBox is a virtual machine hypervisor (enabling the use of a second operating system on top of another), while this WinBuilder seems to be a PE builder (programs that can edit the Windows installation media to include custom programs and configurations, as far as I know).

There is absolutely no relation between them. Nor one replaces another as they're disparate programs doing two different things.

Yes I came to that same conclusion but what I'd like to know is what those different things are for winbuilder.

WinBuilder is just a command line tool to create a WinPE ISO image (see: Windows Preinstallation Environment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

It has nothing to do with virtualization. WinBuilder does the same than the WinPE builder I prefer, made by our member and fellow geek SIW2: Win 7 winpemaker

Knowledge of "WinBuilder"
This software is used to help build live CDs and USBs. It is referenced for a couple of projects I'm looking at WinBuilder - reboot.pro When I download it scans ok for malware but when I run it NIS 2011 eats it immediately saying removed due to suspicious computer activity. Any experience/...
