    SQL server fix

    hi!
I have a legal program that uses SQL express 2005. Somehow the company is saying my sql file has become corrupted and needs to be sent to a company to be rebuilt or fixed. Is there a free software I can use to fix it?
    Regards

First of all, what do it means "my sql file has become corrupted"? Any specific error messages, logs or anything?

If the DB really became corrupted, the best option is to restore the most recent backup taken. If not, try using DBCC CHECKDB to let the engine try to recover whatever it can. Most problems can be fixed using the option REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS as a last resort, even if it means some data might get corrupted.
