Hello all..I would like to open this thread once more if I may..I updated SAS Free Edition this afternoon, which required me to make an install, once that followed through, the program itself now takes 15/20 seconds to load up, for the time that I click on the icon. Is anybody else experiencing this at all?

    Thanks.

I would like to add that I have just uninstalled SAS by using the Uninstall tool that was provided by there website, and now but only a few minutes ago have reinstalled, but with the same result as the above. Could this be a bug?

I have been using this program now for a good few years with no problems what's so ever. It's only been since the last update before this one, which was the time just before Christmas on the 22nd I believe, that I encountered my first hiccup with SAS.

My installation (the freebie version) is working just fine. Do you have SAS currently set to "Run in the background (system tray" and "Start SUPERAntiSpyware" with Windows?

Hello, Lady Fitzgerald..thank you for responding.

Run in the background -System Tray- is Checked
Start SUPERAntiSpyware with Windows is Unchecked.

When I click on the SAS icon. Either on the desktop OR in the Start-Menu..There seems to be a Prolonging/Delay of a space of 15/20 seconds for the program to load. For example when I click on the icon..The SAS icon will show in the tray, at the bottom right hand corner. If I click on it..Nothing will happen, until the 20 seconds elapses.

Before the newest Install, update...It loaded instantly. I also used the Uninstall tool, for when I reinstalled it a few hours ago. But still no luck.

The only way to get SAS to load instantly is to have it running to begin with. Try checking "Start SUPERAntiSpyware with Windows", then rebooting your computer.

Btw, I installed the newest update yesterday and it's working just fine for me.

Oh yes I have tried that already, as well. But I am experiencing a delay of 15/20 seconds, when ever I actually click on the program to load

Weird. The only other thing I can suggest is to completely uninstall SAS from your system, then reinstall it from scratch.

Sorry..When you say "completely" Is the SAS uninstall tool sufficient enough for it to be completely uninstalled, from the system?

Possibly not. I would first check your programs folders to make sure the folders for it are gone (if not, simply delete them) then run a program like Glary Utilities (free version) to make sure there aren't any lingering registry entries. Just run the 1-Click maintenance scan with Shortcuts Fixer, Disk Repair, and Tracks Eraser unchecked.

Btw, Glary Utilities is a handy tool to keep on your computer for various things.
