Are these programs essential, useful or not needed on a laptop please?

I've been given an Acer Aspire V5-537 (Model MS2361) laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium and have been busy installing Avast, Malwarebytes Anti-Mal, CCleaner and SuperAntiSpyware which I use on my PC and so have got rid of a lot of obvious rubbish.

But, I am not sure what to do with this ....
~ Eurosport Player (not a prog but a desktop icon)

    and the following programs ....
    ~ Atheros Driver Installation
    ~ Atheros Bluetooth Suite (64)
    ~ Acer Identity Card
    ~ Acer Instant Update Service
~ Acer Registration (which told me it has been completed when I opened it)
    ~ Acer Screensaver
    ~ Acer Updater
    ~ Synaptics Pointing Device
    ~ Dolby Advanced Studio
    ~ NTI Media Maker 9
    ~ Win Check.

I don't do gaming and really only use the computer (with Firefox) to eBay, Facebook, a few forums, also to do BigJig jigsaws and to listen to audio-books on You-Tube.

I am keen to run as lean'n'clean as I can so would appreciate any advice or help please.

    Hi,
    Depends,
Your pointing device is your touchpad adjustments settings without it your touchpad can not be adjusted so yep you need that one for sure
Most of the updaters are needed for well updating those features so it's either using them or manually doing it one would think the updater is much easier
Identity card well that one might be okay to get rid of if you don't plan on using it,
Screen saver again if you don't like it then it's okay to get rid of,
NTI media maker/ is okay to get rid of do it in the traditional way and not via ccleaner along with all other programs or use revo if this is a 32 bit system,
Otherwise use uninstall a program/ programs and features,
I'd probably leave Dolby alone too but that one is personal preference I suppose ?
    Fresh Install options,
