Is my PC protected enough? What AV software combo do you use?

I just built my first PC, installed Windows 7 and was just curious what protection should I have installed on my machine? What is the best Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Anti Spyware combo? I'm currently using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium & Microsoft Security Essentials. I'd like good protection but minimal resources being used in the process, if possible.

Any suggestions, recommendations, comments? What antivirus combo do you have on your desktop, if any? Also, I was curious if there are any other recommend applications for a newly built PC? Novice here so I appreciate any help.

I use Malwarebytes Premium
Microsoft Security Essentials
Windows 7 built in firewall.

I also use Super Anti Spyware on demand.

When I think I need to I have a few free online scanning security programs I use.

Happy computing with your new system.

MSE and Malwarebytes is plenty, especially if you're not putting your PC at risk by visiting questionable websites, downloading questionable files, and opening questionable e-mails, did I mention questionable? lol

I personally use AVG, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and SpyBot Search & Destroy, simply to have a full range of options if I feel something is there. I actually quite prefer SpyBot over any of them, as it has found things on several occasions that the others haven't, but that's just me!

As long as you use common sense and careful about what you click on, you shouldn't have to worry, so just enjoy your computer and use it wisely!

Does me fine, had a nasty about 12 months or so ago when I had AVG (paid) on that did nothing to help (the virus turned all files into .exe) MSE was the only thing that found the problem, so now that is what I use.

What you have is as good as any. But don't expect a 100% protection. That's not in the cards with Windows.

A much better protection is if you go on the web with a Linux Virtual machine. E.g. this one.

Which blu-ray combo drive for around $100?
I'm looking for a blu-ray combo drive that does it all except burn blu-rays (since that generally spikes the price) But need dvd, cd, cdrw etc. I'd like the drives to be as fast as they can, 10x for blu-ray. Also I'd like to stay around $100. What are my options? Any good holiday deals...

Blu Ray Combo Drive
I found an offer for a new LG UH08LS10 drive for ~$85 shipped, after rebates which I'm considering. I know that the price is good, but I'm wondering how good that particular drive is? Currently, I don't have any Blu Ray disks, so it would only be of future use, and may not get tested in that...
