Take a slow read through this tutorial by Brink and see if it helps.
Also look at all the things at the bottom of the page and see if their is a subject that will help.

No joy.I've discovered that Windows Update is not working, either. So now I'm looking into that. My System page shows that Windows is genuine and activated. Thank you, again, Layback Bear.
I would suggest going here and start a new thread because you have a Windows Update problem. That will make it easier for Update problem experts to find you.
