    Program Shortcut


    Dear All,

    I have encounter some issue, some of the program shortcut when I double click it require administrator permission right. This computer is share by different user. I'm administrator I had password so don't have any issue. But it affect other user, how can I set some shortcut to open normally does not required any administrator.

    If you like, you could use the tutorial below to create an elevated shortcut that standard users can use without getting a UAV prompt or having to enter an administrator's password. :)

    Brink, the above means a standard cannot simply right-click and run as administrator, correct? OP has to follow the excellent info you provided to make that right-click possible, or make program simply run default at admin level. I learn something every day!

    Hello Roland,

    No. The standard user will be able to run the shortcut as usual, but it will automatically run elevated without getting a UAC prompt.
