    AOL Instant Messenger?

Anyone been having problems with it?

I had been using it for a couple weeks with no problems at all, then all of a sudden a couple days ago, it quit working. By quitting, I mean that it starts, but when I hit sign in it gets to "Starting..." then it shuts down. I don't get any error or message telling me that it shut down, it just happens.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen recently.

Uninstall it and reinstall. Save the setup and right click on it, run it in Vista compatibility mode.

I tried that a few minutes ago, was actually about to edit my post to state that I tried that to no avail. I got rid of everything, saved variables and things. Still did the same thing when I reinstalled it though.

you can download other messengers... they aren't "Aim" but they do let you onto aim. Like MirandaIM or Pidgeon, or Trillian, their are SO MANY out their to choose from. often smaller and come with no "adware" like aim does (or at least used to)

On AIM Pro I can send messages but can't see what I am typing when I am writing the messages.

This is with x64 Build 7057.
