| | Stardock Fences anyone try this yet? it's a public beta of their newest software. works fine, but ever since i installed it, my gadgets disappear after a reboot. i can bring them back easily enough, but then all their settings are lost. i sure wish yahoo widgets would stick around when using aero peek to look at the desktop, i'd just use those instead! |

| | I was just reading about this. This is or has a feature to hide your desktop icons. Maybe this beta recognizes gadgets and icons as the same? |

| | not sure whats happening, but i just uninstalled Fences. yesterday when i booted in the evening my gadgets were there, but then a few hours later they were gone. this morning, only one showed up. killing sidebar.exe and restarting it fixes things, but it's an irritating issue, not worth messing about with... |
