TeamViewer Free Questions

Hello all,

I am looking to install TeamViewer Free on 5 computers. Are you able to install this on all 5 of the computers and link to one account.

What happens if they suspect it is commercial use does anyone know what happens?

Thanks,

I know I can use Remote Desktop lol. However it's not on the same network and port forwarding isn't exactly secure.

What makes you think that? It's a standard technique widely used worldwide, applied at every web server in the world for example.
When done correctly and all the security holes in Windows are closed (MS "clean" install is a disaster security-wise) it's a far better choice than TeamViewer. Have a look here for a better description: network - How secure is TeamViewer for simple remote support? - Information Security Stack Exchange
If you ask me, specifically about security, I would be for Remote Desktop or similar programs over a forwarded port, maybe changed to a non-standard one.

Now about Teamviewer itself. As far as I remember, there should be no problems in setting such a network. You should read the exact license agreement for the fine print on what they exactly consider "commercial use". Once they detect commercial use, it warns you and abruptly disconnects you from the remote computer every 10 minutes, but with a bit of patience is usable.

Thanks,

I have 1 account

and about 25-30 clients !

ie. I run teamviewer from my android sometimes = extremely powerful and fast with grps/4g.
at the same time I can log into the webmanager and manage computers, settings,do remote connections.
and I have it running 24/7 at boot on about 4 computers/devices.

the rest ~20 is so called hosts.
My customers that only recieve connections so to speak

The last years its gotta be thousands of connections. But acctually just for some time ago, a month messages has appeared warning me about "suspect commercial use"

So I would say, you could prob use it alot before they alert and analyze your traffic!
