Windows 7 - Illustrator CS4 and Protected System Fonts

Hey there, I'm running into an issue with the Protected System Fonts. Basically what happens is when I scroll down my list of fonts in Illustrator it just stops going down after I reach certain fonts.

Aparajita
Kokila
Mangal
MS Outlook
MT Extra
Symbol
Utsaah
Vijaya

Those are the fonts. Now in Type>Fonts menu, it usually shows a preview of all fonts, but for those it does not. Any one have ANY clue why it's not letting me access those fonts inside illustrator?

I use photoshop more than illustrator but I've run into this with Ps CS4. Try this:
Edit -> Preferences -> Type
uncheck Enable Missing Glyph Protection

The fonts you listed are non-Roman except MS Outlook, although it can handle non-Roman. The glyph protection thing lets you know Adobe will look for something close to that font if it's available, but in your case it's probably freaking out because it doesn't know what the hell to look for.
