The winpower warning seems to come from a UPS from what I can see, maybe it's residual from the one you had hooked up. Can you post a screenshot of Device Manager with the Universal Serial Bus slot expanded please.

there is no key on the key board to save screen or the like

is there something i can look for in that section, we have the section expanded

we can see nothing that might relate to a UPS

I don't suppose you can remember the model of the UPS can you? My knowledge of UPS' is bordering on non-existant so I'm relying on as much Google-Fu as possible here just to rule it out as the problem.

I am trying to get rid of event viewer errors and warnings at bootup. This one still eludes me. It appears to be a driver error related to my Epson RX680 printer. Can someone give me a few tips on how to narrow it down further? "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device...

No DOS screen on bootup.
Hi, I have a friend who built my PC and installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it. He's since moved away so I've lost my tech guru! Thing is, when he was installing it all he may have done (or not done) something that stops the DOS screen from showing during bootup (that would be black screen with the...

Screen resolution during bootup
I was trying to reproduce the nice behavior I had on my old Sony laptop (running XP, but that's not the point). Namely, the boot-up screens - either the animation or the text-style info if the animation is disabled - would show in *their* native resolution (not sure if that was 640x480 or 800x600)...

no icon on bootup screen
I wasnt quite sure where to post this but when i start my machine and the "starting windows" screen comes up there is no win7 icon on the screen or anything. I just get a black screen with "starting windows" written at the bottom. Ideas? I'm not dual booting by the way.
