You got it, Uncle Chris !!! I googled this issue to no avail. Then I followed the link you provided, I tried a few different versions, none worked until I tried version 2.3.18.0 , that did the trick. How pathetic though, I had to revert to such an old version. But now its working, much thanks UC ! !!

I have been trying for 2/3 weeks now to get Garmin Express installed and working on my Windows 10 64 bit PC, to no avail. One visit to this site and I spotted the UC recommended fix. All I needed to do was to install a previous version (I used 3-2-30-0) and it works fine.

I had the same problems but discovered when I disabled Microsoft Security Essentials (msseces.exe) it worked okay. My guess is that while the user/account authorization for Garmin Express will allow it to make changes to the computer, it does not have authorization to connect to the Garmin server (which it needs to do) when MSSECES is running and it crashes. You can shut down MSSECES with the Windows Task Manager.
