Is there any software for creating program specific right?

Hello.

Is there sandbox/firewall/something that would allow me to specify program specific permissions?
Like allow skype to create new files only on desktop but other programs everywhere where they normally could? Or disallow connections to facebook.com from firefox only? I dont have any specific purpose, I am just interested to know if such software exists and if it does can name it?

Outside of building custom firewalls, one alternative I remember is ZoneAlarm security. They had a firewall that would allow for the user to use it as "manual" where it would halt any connections and ask the user for permission. In this you could create rules that were pretty specific, and after selecting to allow a specific connection just so many times it will start to remember and apply it automatically.

I have not used it in a while so I am not sure if it still has the same function. Outside of that you would have to find a firewall builder and learn about tables and chains to set up your connection rules (kinda advanced). I think there is a chance you could set up some rules in your local policies, but I am not positive of that.

Looking for a specific type of program.
A program that lets me change the colors displayed on my monitor. The NVIDIA control panel does a thing like this, but it gives you only 3 channels: red, blue, and green. I am looking for a much more extensive program, that would let me change a whole array of colors on my monitor in different ways...
