'Not authorised' message when Adobe trying to download CC2015.

When Adobe tried to download CC2015 photoshop halfway through the download, the message 'not authorised...' appears and then deletes the download. Adobe said it is a problem with Windows 7 and I need to reinstall. I only have the windows 7 upgrade disc.

They set up an Administrator user account, but this didn't work either.
    Any suggestions?

Write back to Adobe and tell them their vague answer is not acceptable - ask them to speciy what files and services in Windows 7 are specific to the problem they claim is the issue.

Thanks GEWB for replying so quickly.
I was on Adobe's help line, and gave them permission to take control of my computer to download CC2015. They tried numerous times and each time the same thing happened. Part loaded, then the message (which I cannot remember all except 'not authorised to...') when it deleted CC2015. All in in all, hours have been taken trying this, even with different technical advisers at Adobe. I watched everything they did, even setting up alternative user accounts, but to no avail. Adobe gave me a couple of months free time to get this sorted with Windows7. So I feel 'stumped'!!

Arrrrg, my old brain just remembered something...

I have worked with Adobe on software testing for ten years or more. During that time they would push their builds (drops) using the Adobe (Akami) Download Manager which is a MAJOR problem on my systems. I stopped even trying to use their Manager and always insist on being sent/accessing a full 7z (ZIPped), EXE or MSI file without having to use Akami Download Manager.

Ask for a full install 7z / ZIP / EXE / MSI file and load with that.

Hi GEWB, I got back to Adobe with the advise you gave me, but they seemed reluctant to do that. What they did do, was to go onto this forum to see what advise is given for this problem!.. they said they could not alter or do anything with Microsoft themselves but suggested going ont tinyurl.com\3zlhcqz, which I did for a free trial. Tinyurl said the free trial was up and to purchase it. Before I go down that route, do you think this would be adviseable and would it solve the problem?
    What does Tinyurl actually do?

Thanks again for your help. Karian

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
I wouldn't use that utility please remove it,

    Use Clean boot,
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
    Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,
    Cheers.

I know, that's the party line - they'll fight you but they will give in - they DO have their software available without using the Akami download manager. Tell the help desk drone to escalate at least two levels and you'll stay on hold while they do it.

Riiight. The Adobe help desk will always push users off to the Adobe END USER forum - Adobe HATES to get real employees involved with solving end user issues.

This doesn't sound like a Microsoft issue - I'v seen this before, more than once, and it is an Adobe Akami Download Manger issue. Tell them to give you a 7z / EXE / MSI file to PROVE that it isn't an Akami problem.

TinyURL has NOTHING to do with this issue - someone is blowing smoke up your knickers.

Thanks for the advise, I won't use tinyurl, but I will give your advice a go once I have gone through all the links and making sure I understand it. One thing leads to another, and I find that for the last hour or so I have just been clicking on one link to another, trying to make sense of it. As you can guess, I am not used to computers, so this is going to be a learning curve for me. (I have only just found that I have Paint and can copy using it, through your info)

    Cheers, Karian

    Hi,
Unless this is a new bug in the installer of cc2015 ?
I've downloaded cc6 a few times and also cc2014 without any issues :/

I do not have Avast which might be the problem
Hard to believe Chrome has an issue downloading anything so I would speculate Avast is blocking the installer or download...

Pretty much why I advised to use Clean Boot
You might even use Safe mode with networking to download cc2015.
That would disable Avast as the real download problem and not the installer,

Another way is when you start the download use Save as and download the file to the downloads folder and run it from there.
