DVD Burning Software: Recomendations please

I find Windows 7's built in DVD burner unreliable. I record UK broadcast TV programs on to the internal HDD of my TV recorder, then use the TV recorder's Copy routine to copy the programs or episodes on to blank DVD+Rs. I then send the DVD+R to my daughter in Germany, but before doing so I burn a copy of that DVD+R on to another DVD+R (or a DVD+RW or a DVD-RW, depending on what I have available) as a backup. Window's burn routine sometimes misses programs or episodes. I don't need to do anything more sophisticated than that.

Imgburn is a popular CD/DVD burning program. I don't use it as I have Nero disc programs.

I don't know if it includes any garbage, but it is often mentioned when people ask about a free burning program.

CD Burner XP is another frequent recommendation. The above link is directly from the developer and includes a portable version and an installable version without OpenCandy, which some consider a PUP.

I can recommend DVD Flick. It is safe, reliable and it is free (:
There are no nasty tack ons like adware etc. (Of course it is always important to follow installation of programs carefully and make sure anything you don't want is unchecked.)
It converts video files to DVD.
I only use DVD-R which you can only use once.

Older versions of ImgBurn don't include any PUPs or adware, but I've found the new version is just loaded with it. It's a great program, and why they choose to bundle it with malware is beyond me. ~~You can download the new one and get a clean install if you are extremely careful with the installer - it's tricky.~~

EDIT:

I'm wrong. According to the ImgBurn forums, the new ImgBurn forces you to accept OpenCandy. There's no way around it. I would avoid ImgBurn like the plague in this case.

Well, I downloaded the setup file and when I went to run it (to download the actual software) I was warned that the file does not have a digital signature, with the usual warning. So I didn't.

I have had no problem with it.
Ignore that warning. DVD Flick is good program.

OK. But my only need is to make a straight copy of a DVD made by my TV recorder from UK TV broadcasts. Simply that. But I haven't seen any info in the YouTube tutorial nor in the DVD Flick site saying it can actually do that.

(Windows' built-in routine can but it doesn't copy any recordings which are on the the next page of the menu.)
