The only problem I found with Ashampoo products was the incredible amount of "special offer" spam that filled my inbox after I registered the software.

It works well, and I really like the product, but I had to get really unpleasant with someone at Ashampoo to get them to stop sending up to 10 emails a day. Unsubscribing didn't work the 5 times I tried.

If I want more stuff, I'll buy it, y'know? But don't nag me.

the 2010 suite is actually an old build of Ashampoo Burning Studio 9 which works with Win7.

If you choose to use Ashampoo I suggest you get the latest version of version 9 which is 9.20 now I believe

    2010 is version 9.1

It works perfectly on my 7 x64.

    It is also Free.

10 emails a day? LOL - not prone to exaggeration, then.

    I get a couple or 3 a week.

You can use a disposable email address if it worries you.

Burning Studio 2010 is excellent - it doesn't hijack file associations, or add filters to the registry - it works very well.

I use Ashampoo Burning Studio 9 and it's a great proggie. Reminds me about how good Nero was when I first used it maybe 10 years ago. Ashampoo was one of the first 3rd party Burners to work properly in 7 and its a number one recommend.

Having said that for sheer reliability, flexibility and a crappy looking interface ImgBurn (free) is usually the tool I really USE. Is their anything it can't do really easily?

LOL. No exaggeration man. It started off with a couple a week, then every day. I kept trying to unsubscribe, and every time I did I would get more emails, and from different people. It was driving me nuts.

And I wasn't smart enough to use the disposable address, so yeah, my fault.
