Windows help and support cannot start

Need to continue now with the things Anak posted in the other Thread " more help requested", but before I do that, I have two little questions.

I don't know how to do this " quote " thing you all use all the time, meaning repeating something that was mentioned by the former member,

And second, I have a hell of a time trying to copy and past things in and out of Command Prompt. I understand it's easy with a mouse, but I have never worked with a mouse on this laptop.

I read about Ctrl + space + P + E, or the use of an Auto hotkey, the info is really confusing on the web,
I have to type that whole line in all the time to get the CBS logs takes ages with my dyslexia.

If someone can shine some light in there I would be very grateful

    Cheers.

In the lower right corner of each post is a Quote button.
Click on that and it will start a new post with a copy of that post.

Windows help and support cannot start

Hello Noel :), I hope this reaches you tonight !

I was told to do the 16 security updates that had been waiting, starting from september. Did them in batches of 5.

Had not updated anything anymore in fear of the windows 10 thing looming over us like an oldie world monster, but today I was told by the members in this thread, that I SHOULD update this Security things.

Now I realize they will probably massively influence my sfc/scannow outcome, so I will do a new command prompt tomorrow morning and post the CBS file first thing, ok ?

Have a nice time in your local " The Drunken Shepherd "

Windows help and support cannot start

    Hello and news here :),

I was behind about 16 security updates since September and found out today in another thread, that they are harmless and very important on running Windows 7 smoothly.

I had not touched any updates because of the windows 10 upgrade issue.

Well, I updated them tonight ( in batches of 5, I never do more the same time, goes better ) and .....
Help and support functions again, so do all my trouble shooters.

Hope that it's not only me that learns from this

    Hello Noel:),

Hope you have not started on my (now dated) CBS log because, the down load of all these 16 security updates also cleared the system.

This command prompt I did this morning is clair !
