FYI: You don't need umpteen full clone or system image backups but you do need at least ONE you know
WORKS. Ever see a president of a large corporation break down and cry after I told him all his backups
were never verified and, consequently, now don't work. I kinda felt sorry for the dude but had to giggle
on my way out. I know. I'm a bad, bad boy (dog).
(note: this was in the day of tape)
Actually, one should keep several images on hand because it may be necessary to restore back further than just the most recent backup (it's called versioning). I do agree that backups should be verified, which is why I have Macrium Reflect verify my System images immediately after they are made and hacked FreeFileSync to verify the data backups it makes.
Yep pretty easy to verify images with macrium :)
Also make 2 recovery devices cd and usb for good measure
After my new lg blu-ray dvd drive eat one of my 7 install disks I have no faith in it anymore
