Icon of installed program will appear on all user desktops?

Hey windowsforums its been a while and I have a doubt

I installed this program and all went swell but afterwards the icon for it appeared on my desktop and I was wondering something.

Is this icon also going to appear on my brother's desktop? He's another user on this computer and I'm really afraid the icon for this program will appear on his desktop because it's a rather private and embarrassing program (which I regret downloading because truly it's not even what I wanted).

His user is password protected and I can't check if it's there.

If they do show up on another user's desktop, will deleting the files on my user do the job? Or maybe hiding them in a secret folder (will that do?)?

So, what can I do?

Thanks again for the help guys and have a good one

Hello acelegacy,

Open the %Public%\Desktop folder to see if it has a shortcut in it. If so, you can delete it to not have it on the other account's desktop.

However, the program will still show up in the C:\Program Files folder (or where you installed it at), and other users will be able to see it there.

The only true way to hide it is to uninstall it.
