    Hello bluesfloyd, :)

If you like, you could use the Check Disk tool included in Windows 7 to repair bad sectors.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but no software will actually repair bad sectors. All your doing is marking them as bad so they don't get used. It's been my experience that that is only a temporary fix as more sectors will show up as bad the more you use the drive. IMHO, I wouldn't trust that drive from this point onward. I'm all for learning, just don't be shocked when your free space keeps shrinking and you still get errors latter on.

    Yep, that's correct.

Any software will only try to recover data from the bad sectors and mark the bad sector to no longer be used.

I agree. Once you start getting bad sectors, it's time to get a new hard drive to be safe.

You guys are correct, depending on how many bad sectors there are, it`s time to replace that drive asap.

That's right. Bad sectors are like dark holes, you just recover data from them but can't repair and I think It's also difficult to recover data from them
