Which ver. .net framework with 7 64?

I think this is an easy one but I can not find a quick confirmation via google (or bing) which is simply; Does Windows 7 pro install .net framework (ati claims I need .net SP1) and if so or not which version should I have or where would one get the latest version if I do not.
    Thanks,

Hi J23! There are a couple options. .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 has been released and is STABLE (I recommend you install this version), however, as you want the latest version, .Net Framework 4 Beta 2 has also been released. Pick either.

I'm going with 3.5. Nice response time. Repped.
Btw-You happen to ever use driverheaven's mod tool?

    Thanks,

    actually...

I think i'm going to go with 4.2 as the complete lack of Windows 7 on 3.5 does not impress me. I wish MS would start back engineering their sites to include 7 if it is relevant. Seeing Vista does make me think "I want this On my clean install of 7 asap!"

If anyone reading this has used the driver heaven mod tool would ya mind letting me in on which msxml6 I am should chooe. I know it's either ia64 or x 64. sigh. Not a chatty bunch to newbies over there.
