Windows 7: Rocket Dock (Stopped working)

Hi all, I have a problem where on occasion when i shut down i get a dimmed screen with "Rocket dock has stopped working" and the option to "close the program"

So i started to open & close Rocket dock manually but still on ocassion when i select "quit" in rocket dock the program frezzes and i get "rocket dock has stopped working" and the option to close the program

I have tried reinstalling & changing the compatibility mode, I add icons by creating a desktop shortcut and dragging it into the dock

I was just wondering if someone knows a work around or can pick something i have done wrong with the information i have given
