No recognition of DVD drive

with Nero or convertxtodvd my system does everything required until
it comes to burning disc and then asks to put one in, when there already is.
Actually if I put in any DVD it is not recognized at all and just sits there.
Help!

Hi,

You might also try this - ignore the title and see the removal of upper and lower filters instructions.

You can no longer access the CD drive or the DVD drive, or you receive an error message after you remove a CD recording program or a DVD recording program in Windows XP: "error code 31"

You might also try uninstalling Nero then reinstalling if you still want to keep it.

Nero 8 and 9 clean tool

Hope it helps
