    Dual Boot - C: Win 7 & D: XP PRO

    dual boot


    I've read this link about dual booting Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

    SO lets say I have win 7 on c: now and load xp on d: and if for some reason I can't get then to dual boot even after following step 2 would reinstalling win 7 on c: fix my issue and allow dual boot?

    I haven't read the item in your link, but I would strongly recommend, if you have multiple harddrives, to install each OS on separate drives...performed on one drive while any others are disconnected. The only "inconvenience" of this is that instead of using Windows boot menu, you will select the harddrive to boot, either by using the F8 BBS Popup, or by the boot priority in the BIOS.
