    Snip tool no longer working with Cntrl Print Screen


    I used to be able to use the snip tool in conjunction with Cntrl Print screen, but it no longer works. This is useful to capture drop down or context menus that disappear when you try to use the snip tool by itself. I tried this on another computer, but it is not working there either. Did some kind of update disable this feature?

    A workaround is using Jing and program the PrtScreen function to a function key.

    You are aware that you have to dump the PrtScrn into e.g. Paint before you see the clipboard info.

    Deighan,
    You did not say what you are seeing when you press Control plus Print Screen. Does the menu of interest go away when you press Control plus Print Screen?

    Control
    plus Print Screen and W7's Snipping Tool still works for me, but I don't have a access to a computer that is fully patched right now. Maybe someone in the forum can test for you with a fully patched W7 OS.
