Is OneDrive too unreliable on Windows 7 (or everywhere?)

I can't seem to rely on OneDrive. I moved a pile of folders to it so that I could keep my Windows 10 laptop synced with my Windows 7 desktop, but I keep losing data because one or the other (usually Windows 7) silently stops syncing. I thought I was using OneDrive the way it was intended to be used, but if it is going to keep behaving like a total POS, I'm going to have to find a more reliable Cloud solution for sharing work between devices.

I lost a bunch of work when I unified my SkyDrive and OneDrive folders (it turned out some of my work had been going to one and some to the other, although it looked like they had identical contents). Now I'm still using work unless I back everything up to HDD -- on both machines!

Is there anything I can do that will let me have some confidence in this abomination?

It is basically for On-The-Go type of users, who required immediate access.
Don't forget that anything can happen, if it is failed.
Do not rely on this type of services, unless you want to share with your family, friend, colleagues, etc; which is helpful.
Sharing is also available in facebook, etc.

Personal details is best not to save there, as these of server cannot guarantee your privacy.

I, too, had serious reliability problems with One Drive.
I switched to Google Drive. It works well.

I have both OneDrive and Google drive and both have their plus points OneDrive is better integrated with Windows, (especially Windows 10), and as I use all Android mobile devices, Google Drive is well integrated with these devices. I must add that I have not had any issues with either package in the many years I've used them. Google drive works well on Windows and Onedrive on android

Thanks, everybody! I'll have to think about this.
