Skype question

Not sure if this is the proper forum but will try anyway.

While at my Skype home view (in panel to right of contacts list), below the little round picture that has my name to the right of it, there is a letter d below the picture. Not sure how it got there or how to get rid of it.

Can anyone help with this?

Looks like your tagline to me, have you tried going into your profile to double check? Then again, it's unlikely you would have updated tagline without noticing I guess!

Thanks for your post but I also see nothing related to tagline in my profile or anywhere. Do you know how to find it?

From another user in Skype Community 2 years ago:
" I inserted my tagline a long time ago, and need to change it, but like the above, cannot see anything even addressing the tagline - I can't see what field it went to, or where it is, except when I see my ID and profile picture. I would assume it is somewhere in the profile, but don't see anything. Can anyone assist on how to change/update/delete this field. Thanks"

AND ANOTHER ONE
"This would be your mood message. You can either change it or delete it from your profile in Skype."

Aha yes it's called the mood line, sorry. Well if it's blank I guess it's not that... it's also strange that the letter d is aligned weirdly, never seen that before. Have you tried logging into the browser version of Skype to see if it appears there too? If it isn't, it might be worth trying to reinstall the Skype program.

Not sure what is meant by browser version of Skype. I did go to Skype.com, logged in, but saw nothing relative. I guess I will live with that d as reinstalling would be a hassle. Thank you, I appreciate your trying to help.

I've been trying to find a Skype forum without much luck or one that doesn't belong to Skype itself. I use Skype but I am sick of paying Verizon $80 for unlimited phone calls, and magic jack work OK but when it doesn't that's it, Paying $200 for a piece of equipment for free phone calls don't cut...
