    Ubuntu Like Virutal Desktops?

    Hey Guys,

I've played around with Ubuntu in the past, and one of the features I REALLY REALLY like is the virtual desktops.

Is there a similar program we can use and download for Windows 7??

Bonus: If it can do any of the cool transitions like the cube, or different shapes for previews would be an added bonus!

Any advice / feedback from anyone about this?

    Thanks in advance!

I also loved the 3D Cube provided by Beryl/Compiz Fusion...I am not sure that anyone has provided the graphical effect for Windows

I have heard of virtual desktops (as a function) being added to Windows. Will have to find the app that did it

I prefer Dexpot currently, and there used to be a M$ Powertoy or Sysinternals applet with 4 desktops.

Asif, another simple but free virtual windows program is Virtuawin. You can have up to 9 virtual desktops. The additional modules allow for customization. I use 6 desktops and one of the modules allows me to have different wallpapers for each desktop. The program is 32-bit and I'm using it on 64-bit Windows 7 Pro without any issues at all. It is customizable to a fair degree.

I did a lot of searching for a new virtual windows application once Stardock stopped supporting ObjectBar. Virtuawin has been a simple but workable replacement.
