    Problem using MSN Messenger

Hi I have been using the Windows 7 Beta for a while now and I cannot get Messenger to work at all it either stays on the signing in screen or says that it has experienced an error and needs to close. Has any one had the same problem? Or may be able to help in any way

After you changed the auto tune, you might want to clear the cache again and also uninstall, restart and install WLM again. You might also clean your temp files with Disk Cleanup - Open and Use

I have exact same problem as Mike2009.

I had to re-install 7 for sum reason and ever since I did, I have this problem.

I can sign in, but once I do, Messenger crashes.

I think it may be related to silverlight. Cause thats the only thing that I have installed now that I hadn't installed in my previous install.

Will post back wid results after uninstalling silverlight.

    Thanks for your time!

Hi, I've had windows 7 installed for a while now, and I cannot get msn to work, though I did manage to do it somehow, i remember clearly downloading three items; "messenger.msi" (this is the newest msn i presume), "contacts.msi" and "Apatch.msi". sadly my hard drive pooped its shell because my school did something to it, so i had to re-install windows, sadly I forgot to backup the downloads section ==". but right now my problem is that msn says that I'm not connected to the internet? thats with a standalone installer, and if i download the full thing off Microsoft then it simply says that it failed to install and when i click on the so called help section, it doesnt say anything of use.

SOOO, if anyone does now of this torrent I downloaded, containing those files or has any solutions PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! help

What error message are you receiving exactly when it fails to install (Hint: screen shots make troubleshooting a lot easier)
