    Thanks Jimbo.

I'm pretty sure that the Windows Installer is broken... I cannot uninstall programs through it anymore. One of the patches I use to enable custom themes must've broken something the installer depends upon. I'm gonna have to do the whole Repair Install ritual dance once again.

Before you try a repair install, why not try a System File Check. It will likely "mess up" any mods you have for themes but if it works is a lot less painful than the install option

Admin Command Prompt - sfc /scannow

That's one of the things I tried... sorry I didn't list it. I ran sfc /verifyonly to see which files it listed as "broken" (it was the usual ones) and then I ran the scannow. It busted the themes/icons, but didn't fix the Installer issue.

I just finished running Repair Install. It went alot smoother this time. Last time it renamed my drive letters, and I had to do a registry hack (with help from Brink) to get access to my second HD, and I had to fix a ton of paths to get things like WMP and Open Office to work again. This time everything came out fine... no new drive letters, and I have access to all of my files. Whew!

Gonna do a C:/ backup right now (save its raw state), and then I'll try to install photoshop again.

    Thanks for the help everyone!
