    Spend your money on faster hardware and more ram compared to vista windows 7 is fully optimized and does not need the sort of tweaking vista needed. You would notice a bigger difference spending that cash on hardware.

    Some of the entries can be a bit dated though. Still, you may find some free software you haven't heard of before that works very well.

When I used Windows XP I had a utility that would back up and optimize the registry. If my memory serves me correctly, it was called ERUNT. But it doesn't seem to work on Windows 7. Does anyone one know of such a utility that will work on Windows 7? Thanks.
