I've had major mishaps with CCleaner in the past and think andyparks is right to be cautious about using software he's not comfortable with.
For the record, I recommend CCleaner as a good tool to clean out your junk files. Leave the registry cleaner well alone though. And if you do fancy trying it, please create a
restore point &
backup the registry at least.
