    Computer goes to sleep when music is playing in itunes


    Hi,

    When i'm listening to music in itunes my computer will turn off the display if i just leave songs playing. My speakers are connected to my display so this is an issue.

    In the power settings window I can see a setting for what to do when video is playing but not music.

    When video is playing my display stays on although i don't view video in itunes.

    I don't want to just turn power saving off.

    Any ideas?

    Increase the time for the computer to turn off its display/go to sleep in Power Options...

    You can change it back later OR make a custom power plan...call it Music...set a longer display/sleep cutoff...and switch profiles when necessary

Hi all, Is there a way to stop my screen from going to sleep when listening to music (Spotify mainly) and also when listening to the radio through BBC iPlayer. Full screen video works as it should, not going to sleep while it's playing. Thanks all!
how do i do this apart from turning my speakers off?
While my computer was just sitting there with a couple of IE browsers open and iTunes playing songs randomly when it just froze and then the blue screen came up Locale ID 1033 and some other information that I didn't copy before I closed the dialog. I've attached the dump for debugging purposes....
