    Photoshop + Intuos4 issues


    I'm not sure if this should have gone under drivers instead as it kinda pertains to both... anyway...

    I had the trial version of Photoshop CS4 Extended installed. It worked just fine, no problems that I could see... until I installed my Intuos4 tablet along with the latest driver. Now Photoshop simply refuses to load past the splash screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, but this did not fix the problem.

    This problem seems to be related to Windows 7, as I had both the tablet and the same CS4 Extended demo installed on Vista, and both had worked together just fine. It's only since my upgrade that this has happened.

    Edit/ My full copy of CS2 appears to be working just fine. It's only CS4 that's having issues... which I'd like to upgrade to. /Edit

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The PS CS4 trial version can only be installed once on the computer for 30 days.

    If you go to the adobe forums PS CS4 extended and the Intuos4 do not work together correctly. Matter of fact you will find a thread there saying the issue will not be fixed in CS4. Wacom won't fix it either.

    Hi Minalee Welcome to SF,

    I guess lot of them have the same problem found something that you might wanna try
    This fix worked for Intuos 3

    1.Uninstall Wacom driver and disconnect tablet
    2.Reboot
    3.Reinstall Wacom driver, reconnect tablet
    4.Trash Photoshop preferences by pressing Ctrl-alt-shift while
    starting Photoshop.

Hi! I've got a very disturbing issue with my Wacom Intuos4 tablet. Most of the time when I restart or power up my computer I have to reinstall my tablet. For some reason the drivers for the tablet just falls out. It is REALLY annoying! All my settings are still there after I've reinstalled it....
