    FIX for "Safely Remove HDW" GONE in 7


    In case no one has suggested this by now, there's a (tested & verified) 3rd-party utility that works.

    Granted, I was in BETA stages of running it, but it should work with full releases...

    Safely remove hardware isn't gone, just hidden. You can bring it back into view on the taskbar . Notification Area Icons - Hide or Show System Icons and Notifications

Does anyone know how to remove the "safely remove hardware" icon in the taskbar? I do not mean hide it. I have my icons always show in the notification area because I don't like the arrow icon either. Any ideas? Thanks.
